Reconstructing cell cycle and disease progression using deep learning

In Eulenberg, Köhler et al. (Nat. Commun., 2017), we show how to reconstruct continuous biological processes using deep learning. We demonstrate this for the cell cycle of blood cells and for disease progression in diabetic retinophany.
